Snape Rage

Is it bad that I do not like Snape? Never have, never will. He was a jerk to Harry and telling me that Snape was only mean to Neville because he “could have been the chosen one” does not make me like him. It makes him more of a jerk. To be a douche to someone who lost his parents in the cruellest way possible because you’re selfish enough to wish the world hell and pain to save someone you were mean to AFTER she had been so nice to you and befriended you. Then you treated her son like shit because he acts like her husband, his father. Your “friends” hate her and you chose them over her; yet you still have the audacity to hate the man she chose after you hurt her? (I don’t care if that didn’t make sense; I’m venting!)
I love James and Lily and if Snape deserved her, he would have had her. He DID have her! He messed up! He doesn’t deserve her. He lost her. James deserves her because he earned her. He changed his horrible behaviour to please her. Yes, he was still mean to Snape…but Snape hated him too! You wouldn’t have been nice. Hell, I know I wouldn’t have been nice and I’m a very nice person. Snape was EVIL to Harry. He was unnecessarily cruel to Hermione. He was spiteful to Lily. He rejected love and missed his shot. James loved her just as much, if not more and she loved him.
Snape was a bigger person for his part in keeping Harry alive and helping him. Snape deserves some recognition for his bravery and unwavering love. But he does not deserve the girl he hurt. He does not deserve the chance to be with Lily. If ever I believed in reincarnation, it’s so Snape gets a second chance at life. So Snape can find love and be happy. But intentions do not make the actions okay. His actions were not okay. Granted, in the movies he was a much better person…but in the books he was vial. He was bitter. His only redeeming quality was his love and bravery. Get this people, he was mean to an orphan. He emotionally abused an orphan who had spent his life being hated and physically, as well as emotionally, abused by his aunt and uncle; people entrusted to protect him! He was also cruel to a boy who was disliked and bullied a lot and could even be considered a little emotionally abused. This little boy was worse than an orphan. His parents were in the hospital, insane because they’d be tortured for so long. They were in his life as a shadow of their former selves. Never really present.
He needed to realise Lily would have wanted him to move on. His love for her was touching and inspiring but, if it was so strong, could it not have changed him more? He never cared for Harry. He could have. He could have been indifferent, if not nice, to an innocent and very bright muggleborn and a brave pureblood. So many people are abused as kids and break the cycle to spare others. He could have too.

I feel like I should have noticed this by now!

You know what I just realised?
Lord Voldemort thought the Elder Wand answered to Severus Snape and killed him, when it really answered to Harry. That mistake led to his downfall when the Elder Wand failed him in the last battle.
Voldemort also thought Snape answered to him when he really answered to Dumbledore. That also contributed to his downfall because Snape made it a point to thwart his plans as often as possible. In as many little ways as possible.

Also, Lord Voldemort is Hitler.
Snape is a more mean-spirited Schindler.
Death Eaters are Nazi’s
And the rest of the world is sane.

Getting this off my mind

I love this war between Potterheads and Twihards. My news feed on Facebook and Twitter are both pretty much all about Twilight.

People complained when Twihards went to the HP premiers and made a scene, yet boast that they did that at last night/early this morning. Logic? I think there is none. Most people also say it doesn’t matter if we mess with the Twilight fans because it’s not like they can mess with us back anymore. I say that’s like kicking someone when they’re down. Maybe if we were nicer to them, they would give Harry Potter a chance. We can’t make people hate Twilight but we can try to get them to love Harry.

I don’t mind Twilight, because I love the people who watch it. I love my friends and family and dislike people who go into any theater with the intentions of disrupting the movie. Some people can say I’m no fun, but I think I just have a better definition of fun. To me fun is making friends, not enemies.

So Twihards, you have a friend in this Potterhead.

Still thinking about Pottermore

I actually don’t have the time to get on it so I am very glad that I have not gotten my email…..but I still wish that I had the option to get on. I doubt much work would be getting done, but still!

Advice given to me:

I’m always honest.

Yes, you should talk to him about that. It seems like you two are very close friends, I’m sure you’ll find a way to keep in touch and remain friends. You seem to know what you have (should) to do. I’d just tell him everything you told me. I bet things will work out.

Congratulations, Troubled Youth of Britain. Your plan to have your voice heard is going splendidly. Obviously after burning down people’s homes, places of work and cars, after looting shops and burgling people’s homes, rioting outside hospitals and other places that offer refuge and shelter for vulnerable people, after all this, the rest of the United Kingdom will eagerly respect and value your opinion and gladly treat you like responsible human beings.
