My boyfriend is reading Harry Potter for the first time, with lots of encouragement from me, and he just sent me this text: “Let it be known that my love for Dobby has increased tenfold. Lol, he saved Harry’s ass in the second challenge of the Triwizard Tournament”
A part of me wanted to warn him not to get attached, but a bigger part of me realized that was part of the joy of reading Harry Potter! Getting attached to Sirius, Dumbledore, Snape, Colin, Hedwig, Lupin and Tonks. When part of your heart dies with Fred and Dobby and you partially hate J.K. Rowling for it, you realize just how amazing it was to read the books in the first place and you love J.K. Rowling all over again for giving them to us. :D
I think I’m going to go reread the books now:)
